Digital
artwork
specifications
File Formats.
Images
can be submitted as EPS, TIFF, JPEG or PDF files, as long as they are HIGH
RESOLUTION. (When saving Photoshop EPS files, do not check the “Include
halftone screen” or “Include transfer function” boxes.)
High Resolution Images.
If you are using your digital camera to take photos, use the highest setting
available to get the best resolution. Images must be at 300dpi at the size they
will be printed. If you are unsure whether your photos will be acceptable, you
can email them to us and we will let you know –free of charge.
Bleed.
If
you submit press-ready files, all
bleeds must be 1/4" (.25") past the page (trim) size. We recommend the
safety margin for live copy to be 1/4" (.25") from the page edge; the
absolute minimum is 1/8”
(.125)
.
Scanned Images.
Scanned
images must be CMYK, at least 300 ppi (dpi), with a maximum density of 275. Any
clipping paths should be made with the pen tool, not the magic wand (a path made
from a magic wand selection creates many unnecessary points and can cause
problems when the file is output).
EMAIL Submission. Please send your artwork to: production@boatingtimesli.com
